Indianapolis, IN May 9th – 10th
The 2-Day Light & Medium Duty Towing & Recovery Certification brings together the Indiana Towing & Wrecker Association (ITWA) and the American Towing & Recovery Institute (ATRI) for an in-depth training experience designed for today’s towing professionals. This hands-on course combines classroom instruction with real-world field exercises to address modern towing and recovery challenges, with a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and practical problem solving. Participants will spend the mornings learning key concepts through interactive presentations and the afternoons applying those skills in live scenarios alongside industry instructors. Students who successfully complete the course will earn an official certification recognizing their commitment to professional training and safe towing operations.

Day 1 (Light-Duty): May 9th, 2026 from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Day 2 (Medium-Duty): May 10th, 2026 from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Course Structure
Mornings: We will kick off with a visual interactive presentation conducted in a business meeting format. We will provide manuals for each student to use and keep.
Afternoons: The balance of the day will be spent in the field working as a group and breaking into teams for hands-on exercises in different situations.
Certification: Each student who passes the towing and recovery courses will receive a certificate and an arm patch (mailed to you within 2-3 weeks).
